Plastic Art
From the Greek "plastein" (to form, to form); also sculpture, sculpture or sculpting. One of the main types of fine art. While sculpture refers to the sculptor's work in stone or wood, plastic in the narrower sense refers to modeling in soft material such as clay or wax. The term plastic is also used for the entire area of sculpture, i.e. the art of designing three-dimensional objects. In addition to solid sculpture, relief and incised drawings developed as special forms, which, as surface art, create the connection between painting or graphics and sculpture.
