Nice to know
Beethoven writes to Josephine Deym asking her to request her brother Franz von Brunsvik to send Beethoven back his quartets at short notice (he is referring to the String Quartets op. 59 which Beethoven had sold to Muzio Clementi). He desperately needs a model for the engraver's model and cannot find his score. Beethoven promises that his copyist will not need more than four days and that Brunsvik's copy will then be returned immediately. Beethoven adds that he is not well, especially as he has not been able to see Josephine for two days.
