Nice to know
Beethoven asks Carlo Boldrini, a partner in the publishing house Artaria, to send him the Variations op. 105 and promises to write a receipt on their arrival. Furthermore he asks him to pass on best wishes to Domenico Artaria and thanks him for the offer of a loan. However, he no longer needs it, as he has already received the awaited money from another source. Due to Boldrini's size Beethoven often called him Falstaff (referring to Shakespeare).
