Letter of recommendation for the violinist George A. Polgreen Bridgetower. Beethoven asks Wetzlar to introduce Bridgetower to his circle of friends. Bridgetower had already been introduced to Lobkowitz and Fries and other "distinguished [music] lovers". Beethoven greatly admired the famous virtuoso and had originally dedicated the autograph score of the Kreutzer Sonata op. 47 to him (NE 86). Beethoven had also given the first performance of the sonata withs Bridgetower.
