Beethoven asks the Landrecht (kind of tribunal) to ensure that Karl van Beethoven's mother does not visit him at the boarding school because he does not want the child to be exposed to her bad influence.
The Landrecht's order limits the visiting time to the periods in which the child is free anyway. It also dictates that the meetings between the mother and child may only take place in the presence of a person appointed by the guardian or the teacher.
