Zusammenfassung
In a postscript to a long letter to his lawyer Dr. Bach on the matter of the guardianship, Beethoven sends him some details. He writes down the exact amount of the pension of brother's widow and also his own costs for bringing up his nephew.
Once again he asks Dr. Bach to act quickly and to bring about a decision in the trial.
Beethoven's letter shows again how he rejects his sister-in-law Johanna outright, whom he thinks is good-for-nothing and whom he slanders at every opportunity. He is prepared to employ any means to ensure that the boy's real mother is not appointed guardian, as "with such people a man of honour can act with nothing but violence".
