Zusammenfassung
Beethoven assures Josephine Deym that she has not upset him, saying that their opinion of one another is so high that they will never upset each other with trifles. The correspondence between Josephine and Beethoven, which had still been loving and affectionate at the beginning of 1804, ended in autumn 1807. The extent to which they had distanced themselves at the time of this letter can be seen when Beethoven writes "it causes me pain not to be able to see you - yet it is better for your peace of mind and mine if we do not see one another".
