Zusammenfassung
Beethoven sends Neate a list of mistakes for op. 125 written by a copyist, referring to the copy of the score of the symphony which he had previously sent to the Philharmonic Society in London. Touching on the invitation extended by the Philharmonic Society he refers to a letter he had written shortly before (HCB Br 177, BG 1924) and once again asks for an additional 100 guineas travel costs. He has already begun the symphony, he asks for more exact details of the instruments for the desired concert. With regard to the list of mistakes, Beethoven says that the mistakes might not necessarily be in the copy of the score. He has had to correct them in other copies and wanted to be certain that they would not also appear in London.
