Zusammenfassung
Beethoven sends Ferdinand Ries a list of mistakes for the copy of the String Quintet op. 104, which he had sent him beforehand for publication. He also draws his attention to the fact that there are also many mistakes in the Sonata (op. 106); he will send a list of mistakes soon. He apologizes for the incorrect copies, citing pressure of time and the age of the copyist (Wenzel Schlemmer).
Beethoven briefly mentions that Archduke Rudolph has been appointed Archbishop of Olmütz and expresses his hopes that he will become music director and be better paid.
