Zusammenfassung
Schindler sends Rietz notes, among others in relation to Eroica, and takes the opportunity to root against Ferdinand Ries, whose review for a Lower Rhine music festival is obviously the foundation of the enclosed notes. Schindler did not quite like Ries because since Ries had published his Beethoven biography in 1838 he contested with him as the one and only student and confidant of Beethoven.
