Zusammenfassung

In this friendly letter to Tiedge Beethoven regrets not having been able to see him and the other new friends again. He asks him for a copy of "Urania" and promises to send him some of his own music.

The paragraph addressed to Amalie Sebald has only survived as a fragment, but is also in a very friendly tone. Beethoven had got to know Sebald, Tiedge and von der Recke in summer 1811 when he had taken the waters at Bad Teplitz in Bohemia, and thought very highly of them.
