Zusammenfassung
Stephan and Christoph von Breuning tell their mother that they have returned from their journey in good health. Both of them had been detained for a day in Linz an der Donau due to a decree forbidding citizens from territories occupied by the French to enter Vienna.
The brothers had met Johann van Beethoven in Nuremberg, who had then accompanied them. However, the three of them had attracted the attention of the police.
In addition they write about acquaintances, their musical activities and that they have bought a grand piano for Lorenz. They also calm their mother, saying that she should not worry herself too much about the current political situation.
