Zusammenfassung
Ferdinand Ries had received orchestral material from Beethoven for the Aachen Music Festival in 1825. In this letter Beethoven tells him of a small correction for the Symphony op. 125. He announces another copy of the Opferlied op. 121 because the first one contained too many mistakes. In addition another choral score of the finale of the Ninth Symphony as well as scores or orchestral material for the Overture op. 115, Kyrie and Gloria of the Mass op. 123, the Terzetto op. 116 and op. 114 are all in the post.
Beethoven asks Ries to ensure that the material does not fall into the wrong hands, as it has not all been published and Beethoven is concerned about illegal publications. He ends the letter with best wishes.
