Zusammenfassung
Beethoven had offered his sister-in-law Johanna van Beethoven financial concessions regarding the payments for Karl's upkeep, in part due to her bad financial situation caused by ill health (HCB Br 43, BGA 1538).
He now limits this offer as he has been able to find out more exact details of her financial situation. He asks Bernard to possibly find out even more about this through her doctor, enclosing 11 florins C.M. for his sister-in-law. She is to write a receipt for them but not to find out the name of the person giving them to her.
