Colour lithography

Also called chromolithography (from Greek lithos (stone), chroma (colour) and graphein (write)). A printing technique that uses several inking plates. To produce an image, the printing copy is transferred onto several litho stones. Each stone bears the same copy and is dipped in ink of various colours. The printing of all stones together on the printed sheet results in the image.
