Zusammenfassung
Beethoven enquires at Fries Bank whether any post has arrived for him from his publisher Thomson in Scotland. If so, he asks them to send it on unopened to his Viennese publisher Steiner. He will in turn send it on to Beethoven, who is not in Vienna. Beethoven carried out a large deal of his correspondence with Thomson via the Bank as their business connections ensured that packages were transported faster and more reliably.
