Zusammenfassung
Beethoven thanks Neate for the London Philharmonic Society's invitation. However, he asks for an additional 100 guineas to cover the increased travel costs as he is not able to travel alone. He promises to bring a new quartet with him (op. 127). In addition he assures him that the Symphony op. 125 will not appear before the Philharmonic Society's exclusive rights have expired.
Beethoven explains how to rehearse the symphony. In addition he tells him that a list of mistakes will be sent (HCB Br 178, BGA 1928), drawing his attention to a probable mistake in the copy.
