Zusammenfassung
Johann Baptist Bach was a court lawyer and had been Beethoven's lawyer and legal advisor since 1819. He represented him most importantly in the court case regarding the guardianship of his nephew Karl. Two days after Beethoven's death (the 29 March is the day he was buried) Bach is already made curator of Karl, who is still a minor, following Beethoven's wishes. (Beethoven's friend Stephan von Breuning became Karl's guardian after the composer's death.)
