Zusammenfassung
Within six weeks Ries completed his new opera "The sorceress" op. 164 consisting of 21 numbers. The opera is presented for the first time in London on August 4th. Wegeler asked Ries to buy a new piano of the newly patented type. He has tried several pianos at Broadwood in London where Ries's brother Peter Joseph works as accountant. Wegeler shall choose between a used and a new piano of the type Breuning owns or of a newly patented one just like Ries's piano. The latter one is more expensive but also better. (FG)
