Breidenstein's report covers the years 1835 to c. 1840. He names the members of the committee, the call from December 1835, a few prominent donors as well as 52 cities from where considerable contributions have come. Furthermore he draws attention to some benefit concerts and highlights Liszt's contribution. The postscript was probably made at the end of 1840 or the beginning of 1841, as at the end he already mentions the "call for sculptors". He is referring to the competition which was held in October 1840. (Michael Ladenburger)
