In response to two letters Karl van Beethoven writes that he has sent off to Paris certain documents that belonged his uncle. Karl expresses the hope to have settled the matter by means of an article in the magazine "Gazette musicale de Paris". The magazine published letters exchanged between Prince Galitzin and Anton Schindler concerning the biography of Beethoven. (J.R.)
