Recto at the top of the letter there are notes in an unknown hand, probably a conversation with Beethoven. At the bottom recto and verso Beethoven has made notes concerning his brother Kaspar Karl's gravestone ("a marble plaque set into the wall with gold letters"). Kaspar Karl van Beethoven died on 15 November 1815. Due to this Unger says the date of this leaf is "spring 1816 at the earliest".
