Nice to know
Beethoven informs his friend Gleichenstein of a change of plans: as he had to go to Archduke Rudolph, he was forced to cancel his meeting with him and Henikstein.
He has, however, promised to visit Henikstein another time. (Immediately prior to this Henikstein had invited Beethoven over with Gleichenstein and Clementi, probably in connection with publisher's negotiations). Beethoven thanks Gleichenstein for his efforts and is sorry to have missed him. He says that he will tell him promptly whether Gleichenstein can come with Dorner to the Archduke in the evening.
