Careful handwriting, "neat" round note heads, a characteristic way of writing the clef - this leaf bears all the marks of Beethoven's handwriting from his last years in Bonn, between the years 1790 and 1792. He did not complete the works sketched here. On the front side Italian text is noted in many places. On the reverse there are sketches for orchestral compositions. There are also titles for movements: several times "Allegro", "presto sinfonia", "Menuett, presto" and at the very bottom "a majestic Menuet with dotted notes". (J.R.)
