Nice to know

Beethoven writes to Schlesinger telling him that he is very happy about his planned visit. At the same time he apologizes for having behaved a little "improperly" the last time. Schlesinger had apparently already paid him an unexpected visit a few days before, when Beethoven had been working. This had disturbed Beethoven and so he had not reacted in an appropriate manner.
