Stephan von Breuning tells his brother-in-law Wegeler that Beethoven wants to write to thank him for getting the certificate of baptism. However, Beethoven is not very motivated at the time, as his planned marriage (with Therese Malfatti) is not to take place, which is the reason why he had needed the certificate of baptism. In 1810 Beethoven did not in fact write to Wegeler again.
