Beethoven tells his publisher he is spending the summer in Teplitz and lists several corrections for the Mass op. 86 which are not included in the corrected copy that he has already sent.
In an aside he mentions that Goethe is also staying in Teplitz at the moment.
Beethoven asks for some music to be sent to Amalie Sebald at his own expense (that is from the 50 thalers allotted to him, which he can use to buy music from the publisher). She is to receive the Oratorio op. 85 and the Goethe-Lieder op. 75 and op. 83, and if possible other Beethoven Lieder published by Breitkopf & Härtel. He asks for single copies of op. 70 for himself - "one sometimes needs something like this for musicians and cannot demand that they pay for it themselves."
