Nice to know
Brahms had fallen silent as he was busy travelling. Once he went past Koblenz on the other side of the Rhine. He is very sorry and affirms that it is hardly enjoyable to be in a hurry in the Rhineland and that one does indeed not like travelling past Wegeler's house, let alone the cellar without paying a visit: "Am Rhein ist man gewiß nicht gern eilig, u. an Ihrem Haus - vom Keller gar nicht zu reden - fährt man gewiß höchst ungern vorbei" (FG)
