Nice to know

Beethoven had drawn an annuity from Archduke Rudolph amongst others since March 1809. The composer asks his friend Holz to check whether the Archduke's payment, due every six months, has already been paid and whether he has already signed the receipt for it. He also asks Holz to send his tailor. At the time of writing, Beethoven was already critically ill and bedridden. This is why the note is not in his own hand.
