Ludwig van Beethoven, Brief an Tobias Haslinger, Wien, kurz nach dem 20. September 1826, Autograph

Beethoven-Haus Bonn, Sammlung H. C. Bodmer, HCB Br 148

Beethoven asks the publisher Haslinger to have the dedication copy of the Symphony op. 125 bound for the King of Prussia. He wants to pay the bookbinder's costs himself. In a postscript he instructs that an empty sheet of "new, good writing paper" is to be bound at the beginning "on which the title will come".
