Beethoven offers the publisher Diabelli six Bagatelles (nos. 1-6 from op. 119; nos. 7-11 had already been published in Starke's Piano School in 1821) for a price of 50 ducats. He suggests that he can deliver them the same day. Beethoven had also negotiated with Peters concerning them. The Bagatelles op. 119 were actually only published in complete form in 1824 by the publishers Sauer und Leidesdorf.
