Nice to know
Spohr calms the publisher concerning his offer for his "Our father" WoO 70. Obbiously, Schlesinger had announced a new "Our father" by Spohr in Berlin, causing the astounded Simrock to ask the composer about this. Spohr explains that the "Our father" Schlesinger meant is already ten years old and has nothing in common with the new one. He also promises Spohr to start composing as soon as possible the duets for singing voices ordered by Simrock.
