This letter was sent to Prince Galitzin together with the copy of the parts for op. 132, the second of the Galitzin string quartets. Beethoven politely asks his majesty to pay the money to him via the company Henikstein, as at present his expenses are high.
He announces that the third quartet will soon be finished (op. 130 was completed in December 1825). Beethoven is delighted with the Prince's praise for the first quartet (op. 127). He now hopes that the Prince will like the second one which he has just sent.
