Beethoven informs Ries that he has now also sent opp. 97 and 96 to England by post. He asks Ries to intercede with the publisher Birchall, asking him to pay Beethoven 10 Dutch ducats in addition to the sum he is to receive, as he has had very high additional copying and postage costs.
