Nice to know

Beethoven asks his friend and publisher Steiner to organize two tickets for the forthcoming academy of Franz Xaver Gebauer. Two of the composer's friends wanted to hear the cantata "Meeresstille und Glückliche Fahrt" ("Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage") op. 112, which was to be performed.

The choral score of op. 112 was enclosed with the letter (according to the BGA). The addition refers to this; this music belonged to the parts which Gebauer already had.
