Nice to know

Beethoven asks his publisher Steiner to return the manuscript of the Sonata op. 90. Beethoven had given it to Archduke Rudolph and borrowed it from him in the autumn so that Steiner could engrave his edition using it. The Archduke has now asked for the manuscript back. Beethoven assumes that Steiner no longer needs it. The sonata was published in June 1815.
