Beethoven informs Josephine Deym, that he has been able to interest a few musicians in a chamber music evening in the Deym household. He asks Josephine to receive his brother Kaspar Karl as the latter wishes her to write him a letter of recommendation. He assures her that his brother is a good person although so many bad things have been said of him.
