Nice to know

Beethoven informs Josephine Deym he will not be able to come that evening but probably the next one instead (at the height of their relationship Beethoven was often a guest in the Deym house). Instead he is going to say goodbye to his friend Prince Karl Lichnowsky, who is leaving town. In addition Beethoven asks her for the manuscript of the Sonata op. 47, which he would like to perform for the Prince.
