Nice to know

Beethoven informs Nannette Streicher, with whom he is friends, of his move to Vienna the following day and asks her to ensure that the housekeeper is expecting him in the new apartment. Nannette Streicher often helped Beethoven in 1817-1818 with household matters and day-to-day organization.

In addition Beethoven mentions his bad health and his disappointment with the unfavourable outcome of the legal dispute, as it has occasioned him the loss of 800 florins.
