Beethoven writes to his Berlin publisher Adolph Martin Schlesinger on business matters. He briefly tells him about corrections for the first edition of the Piano Sonata op. 109 and asks for the engraver's model of the Scottish Songs op. 108 so he can correct it (Schlesinger is producing a German edition). He also tells him that he will be getting the Piano Sonatas op. 110 and 111, which Schlesinger published. As with all the other publishers he knew at the time Beethoven also offers Schlesinger the Missa solemnis for publication. However, he will then have to pay a premium on top of the agreed sum for the works mentioned. Beethoven asks this to be done via Senator Franz Brentano in Frankfurt, whom he praises very highly.
