Jakob Klemmer was the uncle of Beethoven's childhood friend Babette Koch. He worked for the Elector of Cologne and served at the Elector's riding stable in Bonn since 1783.
On November 1st, 1792, he enlisted himself in Beethoven's register along with his sister Anna Maria Koch and the siblings Eleonore and Christoph von Breuning. The register, which the young Beethoven brought to Vienna when moving there, contains a number of greetings for Beethoven written by his friends from Bonn.(S.B.)
