Spohr asks for notes of his hymn op. 98 and offers the publishing house his recently completed "Our father" WoO. 70. He also reports that another publisher was urging him to compose a new duet for violin and piano. Should Simrock did not want to publish immediately the duet he had bought before, Spohr would like to have it returned to offer it to the other publisher. As a compensation he will then compose a new duo for Simrock.
