Born in Yokohama, Sachiko Furuhata made her debut at Carnegie Hall in New York in November 2017, receiving a standing ovation. Since then, she has performed in various major concert halls, including the San Francisco Herbst Theatre, Edinburgh's Usher Hall, Leipzig's Gewandhaus, Berlin's Philharmonie and Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie. As a soloist, she has played with various orchestras, including the Russian State Philharmonic Orchestra and the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. She is one of the most popular and sought-after pianists in Europe.
