Beethoven-Haus Bonn takes stock of the anniversary year

In December 2020, Ludwig van Beethoven would have celebrated his 250th birthday. The official celebrations for this Beethoven anniversary ended - with a pandemic-related extension - in September 2021.

The Beethoven Haus in Bonn is now taking stock of the anniversary year and once again presenting the projects that were developed and implemented especially for this special occasion. A detailed review of the events and results at the Beethoven House in the anniversary year is contained in the magazine Appassionato No. 47, which has just been published.

In addition, the Beethoven-Haus was of central importance for the official celebrations, which were coordinated and communicated under the BTHVN2020 brand. The Beethoven Jubilee Society presented a comprehensive documentation of its activities at the end of the anniversary year for Beethoven's baptism day on 16 December 2021.

We are pleased to have contributed, together with many other organisers, artists and actors, to a multi-faceted Beethoven anniversary which, despite the Corona pandemic, made it possible to rediscover Beethoven in many different ways!
