Lieder Recital
- Katharina Konradi, soprano
- Julius Drake, piano
The German soprano Katharina Konradi, born in Bishkek, is the first soprano from Kyrgyzstan to have established an international career as a lieder, concert and opera singer. Her 'crystal-clear' voice and 'dazzling vocal technique' (Bachtrack) boast a 'fascinating range of tonal nuances' (Das Opernglas).
Her most recent engagements include performances at the Bavarian State Opera, the Vienna State Opera and the Zurich Opera House, recitals at Wigmore Hall and the Vienna Konzerthaus, as well as concerts with the Berlin and Munich Philharmonic Orchestras. As an acclaimed artist, she can be heard on over a dozen recordings.
The recital season is a key part of her schedule and takes her to venues including Wigmore Hall (London), the Cologne Philharmonie and the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid. She curates programmes that feature art songs in several languages and often revolve around a specific theme. We can therefore look forward to her programme at the Beethoven-Haus!
