Lieder Recitals
We have Ludwig van Beethoven to thank for the first song cycle in music history. With the song cycle "An die ferne Geliebte" op. 98, he laid the foundation for an art song tradition that was to define the Romantic period. The series of song recitals at the Beethoven-Haus is dedicated to this tradition.
