Exhibitions

For this year's Beethoven Festival, the Beethoven-Haus, in co-operation with the National Museum - Czech Museum of Music, Prague, will be presenting the special exhibition "Prague. A musical metropolis of Beethoven's time", in keeping with the general theme of the festival.

The exhibition will illustrate the musical metropolis Beethoven found during his visits to Prague, the rich musical life that took place in the aristocratic palaces, churches and monasteries, at the opera, at balls, in the conservatory and in the music publishing industry. To this day, Prague has been able to preserve its great musical tradition, which flourished during Beethoven's time.
