Exhibitions

The Beethoven-Haus will be holding a special exhibition on Beethoven's string quartets to coincide with the masterclass given by our honorary member Artemis Quartet from 24-27 May in the Chamber Music Hall. An overview of the relevant original manuscripts from the museum's own collection will be presented. They address Beethoven's foundations and models as well as his compositional developments and innovations in this genre, which were sometimes incomprehensible to his contemporaries.
