The series kicks off on Beethoven’s baptism day, 17 December 2026, with a Christmas concert hosted by Daniel Hope, President of the Beethoven-Haus, which will also mark the festive conclusion of Sparkasse KölnBonn’s 200th anniversary celebrations. Performers include the Lithuanian star accordionist Martynas Levickis and the soprano Tanja Christine Kuhn. On 12 February 2027, brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen – renowned for their infectious enthusiasm – will give a recital showcasing the full breadth of their repertoire for piano duo. On 13 April 2027, the internationally acclaimed British organist Anna Lapwood will make her debut on the Klais organ at the Beethovenhalle. And in the season finale of the new concert series on 5 June 2027, pianist Lang Lang and conductor Andris Nelsons will perform with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, with which the DHL Group has close ties as a logistics partner. The programme features Beethoven’s popular Fifth Piano Concerto and the Sixth Symphony (Pastoral).
