Beethoven-Haus Bonn (special exhibition room)
7 February to 9 March 2026

Between 7 February and 9 March 2026, the Beethoven Foundation Bonn will present the exhibition ‘urban sound art’ at the Beethoven-Haus Bonn, featuring an exciting retrospective of the final projects by a total of eighteen urban sound artists from Bonn.
With this special exhibition, the Beethoven Foundation Bonn bids farewell to its previous central artistic field of work and research. Between 2010 and 2025, it set important trends in the field of sound art in public spaces with the two projects it initiated, 'bonn hoeren' and 'soundforum bonn'.

To this end, Bonn-based sound artists were appointed each year to explore a wide variety of specific spaces in Bonn during their project residencies and develop sound installations appropriate to the respective circumstances. The exhibition documents all installations in images, text and video and shows the works of
Sam Auinger, Erwin Stache, Andreas Oldörp, Christina Kubisch, Stefan Rummel, Max Eastley, Edwin van der Heide, Gordon Monahan, Maia Urstad, Akio Suzuki, Bill Fontana, Robin Minard, Roswitha von den Driesch & Jens-Uwe Dyffort, Miki Yui & Stefan Schneider, Nika Schmitt, Raul Keller.
